		<description>Hi Montreal Ruby,

It was great to meet many of you Tuesday night at the Meetup. I&#039;m
inspired by the people and the opportunity here. As many of you
heard, I&#039;m CEO of a Silicon Valley-based startup (working title:
&quot;Kuuzuu&quot;) that is about to bring a collision between the worlds of
Cloud Computing (my background) and purpose-built consumer electronics
devices. To be clear, this is not a small opportunity. We are
&quot;swinging for the fences&quot; to create a world-changing technology. The
idea is simple, and extremely powerful. If you&#039;re a kick-ass
developer with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, I want to talk with
you. I&#039;m leaving Montreal today, but likely back late next week. Here&#039;s our
current job description. Don&#039;t worry if you&#039;re not a perfect fit on
paper. If you&#039;re a smart, motivated, talented coder, we should talk.

Send resume to: intrigued@kuuzuu.com

Company Overview:
Kuuzuu’s founders, Salesforce.com, Dell, and startup semiconductor
alumni, are bringing together cloud
computing and specialized consumer devices in a revolutionary way. We
are hiring lead engineers to
launch a new service offering that includes a massively scalable web
application, mobile applications, and
purpose-built consumer electronics devices. Kuuzuu is in stealth mode,
so can’t share much more of our
big idea yet, but we are looking for people who will hear our big idea
and instantly begin losing sleep.
What we are building will revolutionize information relevant to every
human. Kuuzuu is based in San
Francisco, CA. Kuuzuu has seed capital. Kuuzuu is beginning.

Job Description: Software Engineer
We have no mandates on what technology is used to build our products.
You will use and learn
programing languages that provide the best experience and performance
for the target platform (web,
iPad, Android, Mac, PC, ...). You will contribute to all aspects of
the company&#039;s products from user
interfaces to infrastructure, even if it means going outside your
comfort zone.

Location of the job:
San Francisco, CA (Founder&#039;s SF apartment, until we move to office
near BART)
(Considering an office in Montreal.)

Compensation:
Salary + stock based on experience

Requirements:
 Extraordinary software engineering talent
 Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
 Mastery of your preferred programming language (Python, Ruby, Java,
Objective-C, C#, ...)
 Willingness to learn new languages as we evolve the product
 Ingenuity to leverage all the tools at your disposal to eke out
every last bit of performance and
build the best user experience possible
 A desire to be personally responsible for production-level code (and
willingness to answer 3am
phone calls to fix problems)

Pluses:
 EE degree or hardware development experience
 Experience processing live Video (or Audio) data (Ustream,
Livestream, Justin.tv, etc experience)
 Knowledge of distributed systems
 Experience with peer-to-peer networks (work at skype, kazaa,
bittorrent, napster, etc.)
 Experience with Adobe Flash
 Experience with Adobe Stratus
 Knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming
 Experience developing web applications and services (HTML,
Javascript, CSS, REST)
 Proficient in C, C++
 Experience using MySQL at scale (replicated and sharded
environments)
 Prior experience working at or launching an early stage startup
 Extensive experience using relational databases (MySQL, SQLite,
PostgreSQL, Oracle, Etc.) or
NoSQL equivalents
 Experience working with automated testing frameworks is a plus
 An understanding of the issues surrounding large-volume websites and
scalability
 A strong opinion (in any direction) about the Singularity

Please apply with your resume, example code (your github account [or
equivalent] will go a long way),
and bit about your personal and professional goals.</description>
