Montreal.rb January 19th: Hash and Resque

Start 2010 with a Ruby refresher: Marc-André Lafortune will give us a talk on Hash. Like his last presentation on super, I expect this will be ideal for beginners while surprising experts with some edge cases.

Jonathan Palardy will present Resque, Redis-backed library for creating background jobs, placing those jobs on multiple queues, and processing them later.

As always, the meetings start around 6:30pm at Bloom Digital’s offices:
481 Avenue Viger West, Suite 202
Montréal, Québec H2Z 1G6

    Hi,
I may bring 1-2 ppl. along. Do we all need to RSVP or pay a fee or register?

    Regards,
    Rajiv

It’s free. so do invite a friend. We asked people to RSVP in the past, but attendance is stable and below the room’s capacity; we can revisit that decision if needed.
